Another Hole in the Head Festival 2009

A feature debut from Kastrissios, THE HORSEMAN won “Best Australian Film” and “Best Australian Director” at the 2008 Melbourne Underground Film Festival. His brutal saga begins with a man torn apart by the recent death of his daughter from a drug overdose. Turns out she was forced by her addiction to star in a gang bang video called “Young City Sluts 2” immediately before she was found dead. It doesn’t take grieving Christian long to pick himself up and begin some tearing apart of his own. Solace? Not until bone crushing blows, needle-nosed pliers, knives, blowtorches, crowbars, bullets, and sledgehammers have paved the way. This is a tight film without any hint of humor.
