Drawing from over 30 classic Sci-Fi films, MONSTERS FROM THE ID is the seldom-told story of the rise of the modern scientists in film and their role in inspiring a nation. The film explores the psychological and cultural impact of 1950s Sci-Fi cinema in America. If science fiction was once able to so inspire our future scientists, why not make an effort to do this again? On-screen discussions with NASA scientists and physics professors suggest that it might well be possible. MONSTERS FROM THE ID is a film for the entire family and offers up the hope that science fiction can entertain and encourage our future scientists.
